Soundstream launched a dedicated head unit with wireless CarPlay and Android Auto for the Polaris Slingshot powersports vehicles.
The new SS.1824 is one of the only waterproof decks to be designed specifically for the Slingshot, said Epsilon, supplier of Soundstream.
The radio comes with different trims in the box, one to fit Slingshot model years 2018-2019 and one for 2020 to 2024.
“We’ve taken the technology from the Harley world and we’ve transferred it to this radio. It fits in the Slingshot with no cutting… it’s waterproof, you can take a garden hose to it, even from the back side…” said Ronnie Brashear.
The 7-inch deck ships in mid-May at a suggested retail price of $999.99.
