Direct TV may be heading for a direct pipeline into the car courtesy of AT&T, reports the Washington Post.
AT&T has been pushing to add car hotspots to its users’ Internet plans and it may use those hotspots to push pay-TV to cars.
Chris Penrose, SVP of AT&T’s Internet of Things told the Washington Post, “We think that DirecTV is a great entertainment asset in our portfolio, and we’re actively working with them to identify ways to bring DTV content into the car.”
AT&T purchased DirecTV last July.
