Mercedes- Benz is now the second company, after BMW, to announce an iPad rear seat entertainment system for the car.
The luxury car maker showed at the Paris Auto Show an S-Class with iPad holders on headrests that can charge the Apple device. The iPad dock turns and tilts and may be used with the Mercedes-Benz InCar Hotspot for an Internet connection, says BenzInsider. (The hotspot became available a year ago).
Installation of the iPad docks takes about 1.5 hours. No word yet on delivery or pricing.
As a refresher, BMW last month revealed a similar iPad docking system to be released with the new X3 and then on other models starting in spring 2011.
