Audiovox (Jensen) is introducing its first car radios with Internet Radio control. Rather than Pandora, SHOUTcast is providing Internet Radio for two new Jensen radio/DVD players that are just now shipping.

Users first download the Jensen 9300 app that’s powered by SHOUTcast on their iPhone or iPod touch. Then when they use a new VM-9314 or VM-9324 radio they can control SHOUTcast’s 35,000 stations via the radio.

Both the Jensen 9314 and 9324 AM/FM/DVD/monitors also let you access music through natural speech. You can search through your iPod music by voice and also change source by voice. The units are fully featured with built in HD radio and iTunes tagging. There are front and rear USB ports and options for navigation, XM radio and Bluetooth.

The VM-9314 is a single DIN unit with a 7-inch motorized touch screen and the VM-9324 is a double DIN version with 6.2 inch touch screen. Both are expected to sell at a price around $429.

Jensen is also looking into mechless (CD-less) radios for late spring, it said at KnowledgeFest.
