BOSS Elite car radios with SiriusXM

BOSS Audio will offer next month, its first head units with SiriusXM compatibility as well as new amplifiers with true RMS ratings, it said.  Both features will fall under the newer BOSS Elite brand of dealer protected products.

This marks the first time the BOSS Elite line is offering differentiated products from the standard BOSS Audio lineup, said the company. BOSS’s Colin Ross said the features were added as a result of dealer suggestions. “They were wanting a true rated amplifier. We’re well aware of our past, with what we’ve done with our ratings. But we want to start fresh with these Elite products with what the dealers have been asking for.”  He said dealers have also been requesting SiriusXM capability.

In late May, BOSS Elite will ship the family of radios, which also offers wireless CarPlay/Android Auto.  The line starts at $299.99 street price (MAP) for a wireless CarPlay/Android Auto deck with SiriusXM capability.

The BOSS Elite line also includes single DIN floating decks with 9- to- 14-inch screens ranging in street pricing from $419.99 to $719.99. The 7-inch BE7ACP.WX mentioned above at $299.99 also comes in a version with backup camera at $319.99.

Two models with 14-inch screens include the BE14ACP.WX ($699.99)  and BE14ACP.WXC (with camera at $719.99).  Two 12-inch models are the BE12ACP.WX ($599.99)  and BE12ACP.WXC (with camera at $619.99). These will be joined by the 10-inch BE10ACP.WX ($489.99) and BE10ACP.WXC (with camera at $509.99), and 9-inch BE9ACP.WX ($419.99) and BE9ACP.WXC (with camera at $439.99).

The new RMS-rated amplifiers are due to ship in June. They include the following:

BE400.1D:   Monoblock, Class D, 400W x 1 @ 1 ohm

BE600.1D:   Monoblock, Class D, 600W x 1 @ 1 ohm

BE600.4D:   4 Ch Full Range, Class D  |  150W x 4 @ 2 ohm

  1. I really hope these come with more reliable quality and stop being boomerangs. Also, please stop changing features and specification without telling us. Is embarrassing when the customers finds the same model with different features.

    1. What is odd about this is during the pandemic when this was the only carplay available we installed hundreds of the Boss, Planet, and SSL 9″ and 7″ carplays and surprisingly none of them came back bad. We had a customer who upgraded to wireless and another Jeep guy with water damage but Iv’e only seen other dealers have issues from the 10″ and i believe its the additional weight putting pressure on the mounts. I have 9″ models driving around that have been installed for 4 years now and zero issues.

  2. Hopefully they also step up reliability and stop exaggerating power output ratings in an attempt to dupe customers.
